Services for Training, Employment, & Placement (STEP)

The Services for Training, Employment, & Placement (STEP) program is a mission focused approach on strengthening our community workforce, by assisting those individuals with barriers to employment, gain access to job search, education, training, and other employment related supportive services. Through this program and in collaboration with our community partners and employers, we will assist these valued individuals achieve their employment goals, earn a living wage, and become self-sustaining members of our community.

For Citizens in Buncombe, Haywood, and Henderson Counties

Services May Include:

• Career, Certification, and Job Advancement Training

• Job Preparedness Activities 

• Job Search and Placement Assistance

• Job Tools and Clothing

• Training Supplies and Materials

• Transportation and other Employment Supportive Services
