Jennifer Melton serves as an Education Specialist under the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program for Veterans Services the Carolinas. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, she facilitates Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and Question Persuade Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention training throughout North Carolina. In addition to her position at VSC as a member of the SSG Fox SPGP uicide Prevention team, she is also a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist. Since 2018, she has been an active board member of Carteret Warriors for Recovery, an organization that provides disaster relief services to communities in Carteret County in Eastern North Carolina. Jennifer was presented with the Rotarian of the Year award in 2021 by The Morehead City (NC) Noon Rotary Club for her efforts in the community. Jennifer currently serves on the Advisory Panel for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Hope for the Warriors in Jacksonville, NC, is an acting board member for Carteret County Homeless Coalition, and is a board member of the East Carolina Veterans Coalition. She is also a member of the IVMF National Community of Practice, as well as a member of the Governor's Working Group in Raleigh, NC.
