Peer Support Specialist

Scott Guthrie is currently serving as a PATH Peer Support Specialist with Veterans Services of the Carolinas for Onslow and surrounding counties. He is a civilian with shared lived experience with a broad background in Substance Use Disorder and Criminal Justice Involvement. Scott received his GED through Carteret Community College and his North Carolina Peer Support Certification through UNC Chapel Hill. He has a certification in Mental Health First Aid and is looking forward to more education advancement opportunities through his employment at VSC. He has a strong passion and has dedicated his life to ministry and serving community members in need.
